Our Senior Minister, Jamie Broome, began serving Immanuel in 1993. He previously served First Baptist Church in Midway, Kentucky for ten years. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Carson Newman University, where he met his wife, Rita, and his Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, where he also did a Th.M. and doctoral work in church history. He is a native of South Carolina, and the Broomes have two sons, Chip and Rusty.
Christina Crice, Director of Children's Ministry, is a native of western Kentucky. She graduated from UCONN in 1998 with a Bachelor of General Studies, emphasis on Family Studies degree. Christina began working at Immanuel as a preschool teacher and after-school coordinator in August of 1999. In 2003, she became the Director of Children's Ministry in a part-time capacity before transitioning to full-time in 2011. She and her husband, Jeff, were married in October 2003 and have one daughter, Caroline and one son, James.
Our Associate Minister, Brittany Riddle, is a Louisville native, and has served churches in Greenville, SC, Richmond, VA, and Roanoke, VA before coming to Immanuel. Brittany received a B.A. in Religion from Furman University, a M.Div. from Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond in Richmond, VA, and is currently working on a Doctor of Ministry degree at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. In her free time, Brittany enjoys creating mosaic art.
Beth Diefenbach, Ministry Assistant, began serving Immanuel in 2014. Beth is a graduate of Murray State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She is married to Chris and they have two children, Luke & Hannah.
Chris Operle, Custodian, has served Immanuel since 1996. Chris and her husband John have two children, Derek and Katelyn, and she enjoys camping, cooking, gardening, and sewing.
Nancy Duke, pianist, has served Immanuel since 1992. She is a graduate of Murray State University and taught music in the McCracken County Schools. She has taught piano privately for over 40 years. Nancy has two sons, Ben and Jonathan.
Malissa Heath, Organist, has served Immanuel since September 1998. She is a graduate of Murray State University (Bachelor of Music Education) and University of Kentucky (Master of Music in Piano Performance) and teaches private piano lessons. Malissa and her husband Wells have 2 children, Allison Russell (Ryan) and Jeffrey Heath (Shanna), and 5 grandchildren.
